We are members of The Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church Worldwide. The congregation serves the Latvian community of Melbourne, with most services in Latvian. Worship services are held on Sunday mornings at 11.00am in Holy Cross Church. All are welcome to join us for worship. Services are held in the Latvian language with monthly bilingual services.
The Church was founded on April 8th, 1951 and began services to the broader Latvian community of Victoria.

Our Mission
To hold religious services, special services that recognize Latvian traditions, baptisms, confirmations and funeral services for the Latvian community and their friends and family. Pastoral visits are offered for people when requested, and when people are in hospital or when family members would like the pastor to visit when someone is unwell.
To support Latvian culture and community by participating and cooperating with Latvian organisations in Australia. To hold church services in the Latvian language in the traditional style as well as bilingual services as part of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church Worldwide ( LELBPasaulē). We offer confirmation preparation to youth and adults, and teach and lead youth in the Christian Latvian Lutheran traditions. Publish a quarterly newsletter in Latvian (and, can offer an alternative text in English). To provide spiritual care also for those members of the church and to those who do not speak Latvian but would like to participate in the community. To remain a part of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church in the world (LELBP).
